In 2019, a private donor came to the Promise Hill Project with a wish — to address the most basic need of life in a big way. 💧

Seven years later, that wish has become reality for 841 people living in impoverished communities in India and Kenya.

Three water well projects. Two continents. One extraordinary human being who believed that clean water — the foundation of all life — should never be a privilege.

Because of this partnership, entire villages now have continual access to clean water, improved sanitation, and better hygiene. Children stay in school. Women no longer walk miles to fetch water. Families stay healthy. Communities thrive.

To our private donor — you know who you are. What you have given these communities is not just water. It is life itself. 💜

This Easter, access to proper meals became possible for residents in Mount Sterling, Ohio. This tiny village is labeled as a food desert, where access to fresh, nutritious food is extremely limited.

Through this outreach, food vouchers for turkey and ham were provided to 95 families and 189 individuals, giving them the opportunity to enjoy a meaningful holiday meal with their loved ones.

Because something as simple as a holiday meal should never feel out of reach.

✨ Together, we continue to show up where it matters most

We went to Kenya to show up for women and girls. What we heard changed us. 💜

22 women and girls from the Maasai and Samburu communities sat with our team in open discussion – a safe space many had never experienced before. They left with food, feminine hygiene products, and a Promise Hill backpack.

But our program leader, Jacque, brought back something that no one can unsee.

Forced marriage. Child marriage. Sexual abuse. Female genital mutilation. Forced abortions. Not as distant from their daily reality as stories.
We share this because silence protects the wrong people.

And yet there is light. As communities move toward cities, change is quietly taking root. Some girls are choosing their own futures. Education is beginning to reach places it never has before. 💜

To Jacque – thank you for sitting in that pain, so these women felt heard. Your heart and courage embody the very best of this work.💜
We will keep showing up. We will keep telling the truth.

21 times under the bridge. And every single time it feels like the first 

In April, our Promise Hill team partnered once again with Love Under the Bridge for our 2nd outreach event of 2026 – and we brought everything we had.

 100 meals · 200 pieces of baked chicken

 24 lbs of baked beans · 9 lbs of potato salad with deviled eggs

 40 lbs of fresh oranges

 100 bottles of clean drinking water

 1,500 hygiene supplies

 8 feminine hygiene kits – each packed with 4 months of supplies

And when some of our friends living under the bridge couldn’t walk to us – we walked to them. Because showing up means meeting people exactly where they are. 

Our volunteer team was incredible. Three new volunteers joined us for the very first time, and so many familiar, beautiful faces came back. We took a moment during Volunteer Appreciation Week to celebrate every single one of them – because this work doesn’t happen without them.

We’re excited to partner with Women of Tomorrow in the fight against period poverty! This collaboration brought 72 period product kits to Hamtramck High School, including 4,608 pads, 3,024 wipes, and 720 disposable baggies for females in need.

Why It Matters:

1 in 4 teens miss school due to lack of period products. By providing these essentials, we help ensure students stay in class, reduce anxiety, and focus on their education.

We’re proud to support these young women and grateful to Women of Tomorrow Detroit for making this possible! 

The first event of our Kenya Female Empowerment 2026 series brought together strength, hope, and real impact. Women from Mombasa County gained tools, support, and inspiration to move toward economic independence. 

From mentorship to startup kits, every step moved us closer to lasting change.

We kicked off 2026 with our 20th outreach event in collaboration with Love Under the Bridge in Dallas, Texas. It was a day filled with love, service, and impact as we distributed 100 meals with nutritious baked chicken, beans, and potato salad, plus 1,500 hygiene supplies, 6 feminine hygiene kits (each with 4 months of supplies), and 100 bottles of clean drinking water. 

We were blessed to serve those in need, especially on this special Valentine’s Day outreach with snacks and lots of hugs to go around. 

This event was made possible by the generous support of a private donor (shoutout to them!) 

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers: Tara, Elli, PawPaw, Myra, and Dave- you embraced our mission as your own and helped us deliver hope and warmth to those who need it most.

Our 4th Women’s Feeding and Empowerment Event brought together 22 wonderful women and mothers from Mombasa County in Kilifi, Kenya. It was a day filled with laughter, learning, and love. To our generous donors and volunteers, thank you for making this possible! 💖

In this event, we talked about purpose, confidence, and courage while enjoying a warm lunch, fresh juice, and friendship. Each woman went home with our biggest giveaway yet! They received food supplies to last a week! Two incredible women even received startup kits to kickstart their small food businesses.
